Lindsay Lohan Rejects Plea Deal, Stands Trial in April

The 24-year-old actress turned down a plea deal that included slammer time on Wednesday. A preliminary hearing is regular for Apr 22, where a judge module watch if there is sufficiency evidence for a trial.

The Mean Girls star is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, Calif. jewelry store. (Lohan has denied the incident, informing her Twitter followers: "I would never steal, in housing people are wondering. I was not upraised to lie, wander or steal.")

If convicted, Lohan faces a maximum of three years in prison. She also faces the existence of additional slammer time if a judge decides she desecrated her probation stemming from her 2007 DUI case.
