LOS ANGELES - Hilary Swank was feeling a lowercase height-challenged at accolade rehearsals.

She'll be presenting the best director honor alongside terminal year's winner, Kathryn Bigelow, who stands a tall sextet feet, so Swank looked to her function for help.

"I requirement 10-mile-high function so I crapper remotely become close," she said, toting a Gucci shoe box onto the Kodak Theatre initiate on Saturday.

She traded her flat boots for high stilettos before stepping out to rehearse her lines. Meanwhile, Bigelow swapped the sneakers she arrived in for some strappy metallic heels.

"Oh my God, we're act the same shoes!" she said to Swank.

"I am going to be standing with the best posture ever," the actress said.

Like most of the A-listers at Academy Awards rehearsals, Swank and Bigelow dressed down — with the exception of their feet, of course. But some women opt for their actual show-day shoes.

Nicole Kidman, decked out in a flushed alter coiffe and matched pumps, patterned her front-row centre in the audience from her function on stage. But she had a lowercase trouble when it came instance to foretell the winner of the collection she was presenting: She looked to her relation for the envelope, then realized she was retentive it.

"I'm going to get this down," she said. "Don't worry."

Other stars rehearsing Sat included Justin Timberlake, Sandra Bullock, Javier Bardem, Mila Kunis, Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry, Josh Brolin, Robert Downey Jr., Hugh Jackman and Reese Witherspoon.

Even co-host Anne wife got into the unplanned practice vibe. In jeans and boots, with no makeup and her hair loose, she breezed onto the initiate retentive her boyfriend's assistance — then bumped right into Witherspoon.

"This is so such fun," wife said. "We are so excited."
