Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi's lovable girl avatar celebrates her first birthday next period -- but her parents are suddenly at struggle in a surprise custody battle.

Krishna's father, stake capitalist Adam Dell, filed a newborn causa against his famous ex, filing for full custody. (New royalty Post's Page Six first revealed the filing.)

According to an early agreement, Dell, 41, has visitation rights to see his girl 9 days per month. Insiders told TMZ that Lakshmi change "bullied" by her ex, who is apparently furious over the name Lakshmi chose for their child and the end of their relationship. (Once married to Pulitzer-winning communicator Salman Rushdie, Lakshmi is currently dating mogul Teddy Forstmann.)

"Adam Dell, above every else, wants to hit an active and substantial persona in the upbringing of his girl with Padma Lakshmi," his professional told the Post. "Mr. Dell has proven his prizewinning to avoid feat to court."

"Padma wants her girl to be healthy to hit a relation with her father," an insider close to the Bravo grapheme counters to UsMagazine.com.

A rep for Lakshmi tells Us in a statement: "Ms. Lakshmi believes that kinsfolk matters should be kept private. She asks that those who tie her in wanting the prizewinning for her girl do the same."

Notes the rep of Dell's highly-publicized newborn suite filing: "24 hours after the New royalty Post was told about cristal Dell's lawsuit, neither Padma Lakshmi nor her lawyers has received a copy of it; they only scholarly of it finished a statement Mr. Dell provided to the press."
